Early childhood and schooling
In Fontana, on November 14, 1975, Travis Landon Barker was born. When he was younger, he was raised by Gloria (a babysitter) and Randy (a mechanic). Barker started playing the drums when he was four years old. Additionally, Travis took trumpet and piano lessons and participated in the school choir.
Playing the drums, according to him, was the best method of communicating his thoughts and feelings. The death of Barker’s mother from Sjögren’s disease occurred just before Barker was born. As a member of the Fontana High School marching band and jazz band, Travis was a self-proclaimed stoner.
