American punk band Green Day appears in Angry Birds Friends on Facebook!

Veteran American punk band Green Day are set to return with not one but Three new albums from September – and to celebrate a brand new Billy Joe song, Mike and Tre Cool have teamed up with Rovio to become mean pigs in a new social spin-off from Angry Birds!

Ahead of a rumored appearance at this weekend’s Reading Festival, Green Day has turned into green piggies for Angry Birds Friends – the Facebook-based app game that will get an update with 10 new playable levels that include a punk rock and festival flavor and will feature the band’s new song “Oh Love” and another bonus track called “Troublemaker”. It’s a song title that certainly fits the dastardly deeds of the trio as they join forces with the long-time porcine pursuers of the Angry Birds!

The Angry Birds Friends game launched in May in partnership with Facebook, delivering the same pig-busting and structure-destroying action as the popular app game for Google Android, Apple iOS and BlackBerry gadgets empowering millions users to play against each other and share high scores. on the social web.
