Connecticut Punks American Thrills have released their new single, “Ivy League Swing” on all digital platforms. The track is the other single from the band’s full release set to be released this fall via Wiretap Records.
The band says, “We contacted Fred Durst to do guest vocals on the track, but he ghosted us. This song is best enjoyed in JNCO Jeans watching Are You Afraid of the Dark. I have big 90s vibes.”
Founded in 2020, during the pandemic, the band came together to write their first EP titled Self Titled – American Thrills. The album was well received. According to Punk Rock Theory – “It’s punk rock from the heart and kinda what you wish the Gaslight anthem would still sound like”
The band soon returned to the studio with Chris Teti (The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die) to record their follow-up album Old Things, which features Hot Rod Circuit’s Andy Jackson. In the fall of 2021, the band will release a split with Nightmares For A Week / Tired Radio / Neckscars and land a spot at Fest 19.
American Thrills is currently working with Nick Bellmore (Hatebreed / Make Do And Mend) on their debut LP which will be released on Wiretap Records (Spanish Love Songs / Audio Karate). The first single “Alive And Well” was released on December 17.
