Laura jane grace released a new surprise EP, At war with the silverfish, last month, and we’re also caught off guard that the Florida punk icon is giving two intimate concerts in Ybor City this winter.
Tickets to see Laura Jane Grace play The Bricks in Ybor City, Fla., December 10 and 11, go on sale Friday, October 15 at 10 a.m. and will cost $ 30 per night. Tampa emo legend Pohgoh opens the first night with Expert Timing management support from Orlando on the second night.
The Tampa Bay shows are part of Grace’s short journey through small venues in support of Silver fish. Promoter Paul Williams—who charged $ 999 unvaxxed to see Teenage Bottlerocket– told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the time of the show (or proof of COVID-19 vaccination) will be required to enter the shows held in the Bricks Yard at 1327 E 7th Ave. in Ybor City.
The doors to both shows are at 7 p.m. and only 125 people will be admitted each night.
This is the first chance Tampeños has to see Grace after his band Against Me! was forced to cancel a Crowbar concert in March 2020 due to coronavirus concerts.
